Numbing creams are applied to the surface of the skin. Reverie offers another approach: local anesthetic is injected under the skin in the planned tattoo area at your Iowa studio.
Depending on the care plan, numbness may last several hours. Reverie does not use opioids or sedating medications; you remain awake and able to communicate while your artist works.

Complete a confidential health-history form so Reverie can determine whether anesthesia is appropriate for you.
4. Meet us at the studio
If your care is approved and arranged, Reverie meets you there and coordinates with your artist.
Clinical review is required before anesthesia care can be confirmed.

Enter the approximate width and height of the tattooed area. For tattoos above 10 square inches, the estimate includes a quarter-inch clinical margin around every side to support proper numbing. Your final treatment plan and price are confirmed after clinical review.

No. Reverie uses local anesthesia in the planned tattoo area rather than sedation. You remain awake and able to communicate during the appointment.
Duration varies with the care plan and individual factors. Depending on the plan, numbness may last up to eight hours, but no fixed duration can be promised.
No. The tattoo location, planned treatment area, medication limits, and your health history all matter. Reverie reviews each request before determining whether local anesthesia is appropriate.

The base price is $250 for areas up to 10 square inches. Larger areas are estimated from the area to be numbed. Use the estimator above for a preliminary price.
Yes. You can share the website with your artist, or submit an interest request and authorize Reverie to contact the studio. Onsite care requires the studio’s agreement.
